George Dalton is best known for his role of camp announcer, Arty on Netflix’s “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Summer Camp.” He is also a singer with his own Youtube Channel. His channel includes music videos for his covers of Green Day’s “Boulevard of Borken Dreams” and Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen”. His cover of “Trap Queen” went viral and earned him positive and negative reviews.

upfrontNY: What do you love most about acting?
George Dalton: I’ve always been drawn to the set and the people. I love working with such amazing people. It is so fun to do what you love.
upfrontNY: What was your experience been like being a part of “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day At Camp”?
George Dalton: It was a lot of fun. It was the first big thing I’ve ever done. I am so happy I got to do it. Arty, my character, is such an amazing character. Michael Ian Black who was with me for most of my scenes is an amazing actor and our director David Wain was awesome!
upfrontNY: How did you first find out that you got the part?
George Dalton: I was in Tennessee and visiting family. My friends came to my house and we were hanging out . My mom came home and had a balloon with a bee and another that said congratulations. She told me I got the part for Arty AKA the bee keeper.
upfrontNY: How did you start your Youtube Channel?
George Dalton: I was in musicals in community theatre when I was little. I grew from that and told my mom I wanted to do music. I put out that video and it skyrocketed from there.
upfrontNY: What was the best part of filming these videos?
George Dalton: Being with your friends and the director is so awesome. It is so much fun on set.
upfrontNY: If you could be in any show what would it be?
George Dalton: I really love horror. I want to be on “American Horror Story”. That is a life goal!
upfrontNY: I saw that you did some traveling and went to Sundance. What was that like?
George Dalton: It was a lot of fun. Me , my mom, and my friends all went to Utah and spent a week there. We had a great time. I saw so many great movies there.
upfrontNY: What are you looking forward to in 2016?
George Dalton: I am going to be releasing my first album called Fun House EP.
upfrontNY: What advice do you give to others that receive negative comments?
George Dalton: Try to block them out and don’t listen to what they have to say!
