On Wednesday night, Lady Antebellum fans gathered at the beautiful United Palace Theatre in New York City for a taping of Live from the Artists Den. The episode, presented by Chase Sapphire was filmed for season 12.
The Artists Den is a critically acclaimed television and digital music series best known for presenting small, secret concerts by extraordinary artists in non-traditional, often historic settings. This wonderful series gives fans the chance to experience amazing performances from their favorite artists.
The night was a free, invite only event. Audience members were selected randomly from a general ticket sweepstakes. The lucky winners got the opportunity to attend the taping as Lady Antebellum performed songs from their new album, Heart Break including their fun new single, “You Look Good”. The album will be released on June 9th.
As soon as the trio stepped on stage, everyone in the audience was on their feet.
Not only was the music great throughout the evening, but the band also shared stories about their experience and their songs. For their new album, they rented a house in Los Angeles to write together. They also spent time in Florida writing which included the title song of the album,”Heart Break” explaining that when they wrote it, they knew they found the heartbeat of the album and built the rest of the album around it. Hillary said it was an empowering song and is about feeling confident about the person you are solo.
Another new song from the album performed was, “Army” which was one of Hillary’s favorites. She said the song is about how genuinely and truly awesome women are.
Not only did the audience get to check out some of the band’s new music, they also played some older fan favorites including “Hey Bartender”, “Just A Kiss”, “Downtown”, and “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore”. The band interacted with the audience throughout the performance and even jumped into the crowd while performing “I Run To You”, which was an exciting and unexpected surprise.
After a wonderful performance, the final song of the evening was “I Need You Now”.
