The talented men of the band Syndicate performed at the intimate Mexacali Live on Thursday night. The band is composed of; Sony Tiwari (vocals), Zak Ali (guitar), Jesse Minikes (keys), Marlon Willams (bass) and Ivan Guiterrez (drums). The band’s live performances cover a variety of genres; hip hop, jazz, and rock.
As the band warmed up, Sony gathered the crowd front and center so they could feel like they were right in the middle of the action.
The band led their set with their original songs “Show Man Blues” and “One Day Away”. During their performance, they covered; Drake, Eminem, Alicia Keys, and Jay Z. The performance came to a close with “I Don’t Even Know” and the crowds’ favorite, “Jealousy”. The fans’ energy stayed consistent and built through the performance as they all joined in on the final song of the night “Jealousy.”
Syndicate’s performance showed a range of music. From their high energy hip hop songs and Sony’s rapping to changing the vibe and slowing things down. When Sony gets on the mic, and the band starts jamming, you can see a true love of the music and their passion seeping through the crowd.
Syndicate has been together since this summer and have already built quite the following. This is a band you don’t want to miss. Check out their site Syndicate and keep an eye out on dates of their upcoming shows.
